11:30 am - 2:00 pm
This is a fun and casual event where people can get beautiful henna tattoos made. There will be some food and live Indian (specifically Rajasthani) folk music.
For attire: Formality level is about a fancy garden party. Semi-formal Indian wear would be appropriate for the occasion.
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This event is a standard secular wedding ceremony.
Fancy American wedding attire. It will be followed by a high tea and small reception.
8:00 pm
This is likely the closest to a reception in the standard American wedding. There will be loads of music and dancing and some performances followed by more dancing.
Attire will be flashy and blingy. Women will be in heavy lehengas or evening gowns and men will likely be in jackets and ties. People also occasionally change into more comfortable clothes later in the event to dance the night away.
11:30 am
This is a traditional event aimed at getting the bride and groom prepared for their big night. Happy couples apply a skincare turmeric paste on the bride and groom to bless them and leave them looking radiant. This will also include a rain event, a little return to childhood dancing in the rain times!
Yellow and pastels are the colours of the event. Think garden wedding, florals and chinos wouldn’t be out of place. Comfortable attire you can enjoy the rain in is recommended.
5:00 pm
This is the Hindu wedding ceremony. There will be a procession for the groom followed by an exchange of leis and a long religious ceremony.
This is the most formal event of the weekend. Everyone will be decked up in all their finery. Formal Indian or American attire is typical.
