Cocktail attire: semi-formal, fun but sophisticated style. Some examples of this attire are midi dresses, pantsuits, blazer and jeans, or button down and trousers. We want out guests to feel fun, stylish, and confident in what they wear! You are welcome to contact the grooms to ask details about attire!
Join us and all those who have traveled to Scotland for our wedding for our welcome garden party. This will be a wonderful time to meet or reacquaint with other wedding guests. There will be drinks and dinner with lawn games and other activities as we enjoy the castle grounds and our first shared night together. A coach will pick up guests from their hotel and lodges, and return them at the end of the event.
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns preferred. If you prefer to not wear a formal tux or gown, a dark suit and tie or elegant cocktail dress will be a great choice. You are welcome to contact the grooms to ask details about attire!
There will be a drinks reception held on the castle terrace beginning at 3 pm and guests will proceed to the Rose Garden for the ceremony beginning at 4 pm. (Times and locations subject to change due to weather.) Cocktail hour to follow. Then dinner at 6pm in the State Drawing Room. Lastly, a reception will be held in the courtyard and vaulted cellar. A coach will pick up guests from their hotel and lodges, and return them at the end of the event.
10:30 am - 11:45 am
We are closing out our wedding weekend with a casual send-off brunch in the garden. We will have a selection of breakfast foods like pastries, meats, and cheeses. This will be unstructured and an opportunity to visit with everyone before we head off on our next adventures.
