Visit the heart of activity in Duluth, Canal Park. Search for agates on the beach, see the lift bridge and ships in the harbor up close, visit the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center, and do some shopping all in one area.
Located in the same building as the reception, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum is a great spot to visit with or without kids! A favorite date location for Michael and Kenzie (but mostly Michael...). The railroad museum would be a great way to spend the time between the ceremony and cocktail hour.
Somehow Michael and Kenzie never toured the Irvin, but can't wait to this summer! In the heart of Canal Park, set against the majestic Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge, is a Great Lakes vessel you can’t miss—and won’t want to. Despite carrying iron ore and coal through treacherous storms, the William A. Irvin remains in pristine condition today. Don’t miss your chance to tour the proud flagship of U.S. Steel’s Great Lakes Fleet.
Michael and Kenzie took a glass making class here while living up north! Take a class or just stop by to shop and watch the masters at work.
Operated by the University of Minnesota - Duluth, Kenzie's alma mater, this mansion was the home of the Glensheen family with 39 rooms and 12 acres of gardens preserved to reflect Duluth during the Gilded Age. It is definitely worth a tour, or at least a walk around the grounds.
This ice cream shop is attached to the store where Kenzie worked during college - Frost River Trading. Needless to say, many cones were enjoyed by both Michael and Kenzie while in Duluth. They have both classic and unique flavors and never miss the mark! They also have a location in Canal Park.
Michael and Kenzie's #1 date spot - great pizzas and great beer.
If Michael and Kenzie didn't go to Ursa Minor, they went to Blacklist. Blacklist also offers axe throwing, so enter at your own risk!
This might be the best sandwich you've ever had. Try a warm Butcher on the Rye, the bride and groom's go-to order. You won't regret it.
For the meat-eaters, you won't want to miss out on giving OMC a try. One of the best restaurants in town. If you're looking for an adult beverage, stop by the Duluth Tap Exchange next door to try all sorts of local brews.
If you are looking for the best burger in the Midwest with some Spotted Cow on the side, pop across the bridge to Superior, WI and thank us later.
Basically every "fancy" date night was spent at Cloud 9. Make sure to get appetizers!
