Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

While the official wedding ceremony start time will be listed on our invitations, you may want to know how early you can arrive. We recommend that you arrive at 4:15.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire or dressy casual attire. We suggest that you consider a tea-length or maxi dress, dressy romper, or jumpsuit. Dressy sandals, chunky heels, and wedges are also appropriate footwear options. We do not have any wedding parties so please reach out to the bride if you have questions about the dress code.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoor, in Garrapata State Park, where it might be windy. The cocktail hour and reception will take place semi outdoor, at Carmel-by-the-sea, on a rooftop, with heaters provided.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It can be somewhat windy by the ocean during the ceremony, but inland and during the cocktail hour and reception, it will be warmer. The weather is beautiful during August, which is the hottest month of the year in Carmel/Big Sur.

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

4:15: Guests arrive to ceremony destination. Ceremony location and parking address is: https://goo.gl/maps/9SLBfLbEeQmLpimw6. A picture of the location is also attached to this email. Linh’s sister – Lien (Olivia) will greet people at the beginning of the stairs.  4:30 - Assembling for the ceremony. Brooke will draw a line in the sand to mark an aisle. Please form a two-row semicircle with other guests and face the ocean. 4:45 - Ceremony starts. Michael will walk in first to where Ross is. Linh’s mother will walk her from the bottom of the stairs afterward. 5:15 - Group Photos. Beverages are available. Allison will be setting up and distributing refreshments.  5:45 - Please leave for Cocktail Hour at Grasing's restaurant. The drive will be about 20 minutes.  6:15 - Cocktail Hour Starts at Grasing's restaurant.  7:00 - We (Michael & Linh ) arrive for the End of Cocktail Hour. Photographer will capture details & Final photos  7:15 - Dinner starts.

Is there parking available at the reception?

Answer

Yes, there are public parking for the ceremony site. But no, there are no on-site parking for the reception. Please park at a public parking lot, which is about a 5 min walk from the reception site.

Can I bring my partner?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly only able to accommodate guests whose name were mentioned. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are very sorry that we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding. Thank you for your understanding.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert at a contemporary restaurant serving locally sourced California cuisine and awarding winning wine list.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We politely ask that our guests don’t share photos of our wedding on social media- thank you for your understanding. We have requested a few "preview" snapshots from the day that would be turned around in the next 24 to 48 hours from our photographer. We will share them immediately as soon as we receive them.

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

If there's a chance that your wedding will be postponed or otherwise altered, we will let you know as soon as possible through phone calls and text.

Answer

We don't have one.

Where do I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into San Francisco or San Jose. Do not fly into Los Angeles because it is a 8hrs drive from the venue. If you have plan or want to stay in Los Angeles before or afterward, please fly into Los Angeles then.
