We're getting married!

Kimberly and Michael met in Minneapolis, Minnesota after the pandemic upended their plans. Michael had been slowly traveling the world and Kimberly was coaching soccer and teaching in Long Beach, California. With the world upside down, and their plans needing revision, they swiped right and began chatting. Kimberly never thought she’d meet someone to marry, let alone on a dating app, so she required they video chat several times before meeting in person. One day, in June, under a canopy of trees near the Minnehaha Falls, they had their first kiss. Those first few months were spent taking long walks around lakes and cycling around town. When the time came for them to “restart” their plans, they went their separate ways, Michael back to his home in Savannah, and Kimberly back to California. Months passed before they saw one another again but they spoke everyday without any expectation, just the bliss of hearing his and her voice. As time went on, they realized they wanted to try life out together but in the same town. So Kimberly moved to Savannah, bought a home, started a new career, and got the dog she always wanted. As more time went on, they further realized that their values aligned and moved in together with a renewed sense of connection. During a trip to Ibiza, on a cliff overlooking the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea, Michael asked Kimberly for her hand in marriage. Without hesitation, she said yes.
