This is the most convenient option—and our personal preference—thanks to its smaller size and proximity to Ventura. SBA is just a 30–45 minute scenic drive along the coast Direct flights are limited, so a connection may be required depending on your departure city.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAX offers the most flight options, including many direct flights. While Ventura is only about 60 miles away, travel time from LAX can take 60–90 minutes (or longer) due to LA traffic. There is a shuttle service that goes directly from LAX to Ventura for approximately $50 one way, making it a convenient and affordable option.
