Spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains is beautiful, but mountain weather can change quickly. While May typically brings warm, comfortable temperatures, mornings and evenings can feel cooler than the afternoon. Both our ceremony at Pretty Place Chapel and our reception at Cherokee Valley are covered, so the celebration will continue rain or shine. Even so, we recommend checking the local forecast a few days before traveling and dressing comfortably for changing temperatures. For your comfort, you may also want to bring: A light sweater, wrap, or jacket for the evening Comfortable shoes for walking on paved paths and outdoor areas Sunglasses for the daytime ceremony and mountain views
Our ceremony will be unplugged. We kindly ask that you silence your phones and put them away during the ceremony so everyone can fully enjoy the moment. Once the ceremony has concluded, we'd love for you to take and share photos throughout the evening!
Please refer to your invitation regarding who is included in your party. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
Your presence is truly the greatest gift. If you'd like to honor us with a gift, we've created a registry featuring experiences for our honeymoon and contributions toward our future home.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is the closest airport and is approximately 35–45 minutes from Cherokee Valley.
We highly recommend renting a car if you're flying into South Carolina. Many attractions, hotels, and mountain destinations are spread throughout the area, and rideshare availability can be limited outside of downtown Greenville.
Yes, both Uber and Lyft operate in the area. However, availability may be limited near Cherokee Valley and mountain locations, especially later in the evening. Please avoid relying on securing a last-minute ride after the reception.
There are wonderful hotels in Travelers Rest and Greenville, as well as beautiful mountain cabins and Airbnb rentals nearby.
We've put together a list of our favorite restaurants, breweries, wineries, coffee shops, and local attractions on the Explore the Area page.
The ceremony will be held outdoors. Please dress comfortably for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking.
Thank you for making the trip to celebrate with us. Having our family and friends together in one place is the greatest gift we could ask for, and we can't wait to share this unforgettable weekend with all of you. See you in South Carolina!
