Michael's brother Sam introduced "Mikey" to Katherine because they all worked at the same digital marketing company. After many work lunches, Michael asked for Katherine's phone number. This led to a football watch party, an Italian dinner, and an electronic concert where they shared their first kiss!

It was a magical snowy night in Denver. Michael chose a special seafood restaurant to "pop the question". He planned ahead with the restaurant so the engagement ring was delivered in the center of an oyster tray. Michael proposed on one knee and of course, Katherine said, "YES!"
