WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

If you have heard of the invisible string theory, then you know that Michael and Kaitlyn were awaiting this day even long before the nine odd years…(insert your favorite ‘finally!’ joke variation). Destined to find each other, Mike and Kaitlyn both attended Maine South High School and Illinois State University, only to meet after Mike’s college graduation in 2014. Come Spring 2015 they finally accepted their fate of officially dating. In the Fall of 2018 they began renovating their first home together. They managed to stay sane during lockdown and he did what any sensible man would do and give into her childhood dream of adding a puppy to the mix. A true testament to Mike’s patience was deciding to take on their second full home renovation in the Summer of 2021. Rumor has it they are still renovating as Mike talks about their next home and Kaitlyn talks about the next ‘easy’ weekend project. Alas, Mike found the perfect distraction to Kaitlyn’s occupational hazard: planning a wedding. In the Spring of 2024 Mike proposed! Mike and Kaitlyn’s favorite thing to do aside from all things home, is traveling. From their first trip together in the Summer of 2015 to exploring Europe in Spring of 2024 and every weekend getaway in between, they saw no better way to celebrate their marriage than with a weekend long wedding in sunny Mexico!
