Maid of Honor
Janna and Alecia met on a cold day in November 2001, when Janna first held her baby sister. Now she is Janna’s Maid of Honor, as is her birthright, and Janna couldn’t ask for someone better to keep everyone in line.
Matron of Honor
Janna and Olivia met when they studied abroad in Australia. They showed up at the Great Barrier Reef wearing the same swimsuit, and the rest is history. Olivia also almost let Janna become shark chum, but that’s a story for another day.
Bridesmaid
Janna and Laurel met in 8th grade, bonded through high school art classes, and now are in a mystery/thriller book club together (Janna screens the books, so they don’t get too creepy for Laurel). They empower each other in their love of all things whimsical and vintage.
Bridesmaid
Janna and Hannah met freshman year at Illinois Wesleyan University and ended up basically ruling the school with the number of student organizations they were in charge of between the two of them, from an a capella choir to the school newspaper.
Bridesmaid
Janna met Mike’s sister after the happy couple started dating and further bonded on their 2024 trip to Vancouver for the Eras Tour. On that trip, it was also discovered that Alecia and Megan might have been separated at birth.
Personal Attendant
Janna and Mikhala also met studying abroad in Australia and were a big part of each other’s COVID sanity bubbles when Mikhala moved to Iowa for a job. They were both in Olivia’s wedding last year and are getting married within a month of each other.
Flower Girl
Janna and Avery became buddies through the annual craft retreat on Janna’s mom’s side of the family. Now the cousins are pen pals, and Avery, despite her young age, has better scrapbooking instincts than Janna will EVER have.
Officiant
Mike and Ben met sophomore year at the University of Minnesota, and were roommates senior year. Aside from weekends at the lake and nights on the town, Ben is probably the person who has made Mike cry laughing the most times.
Best Man
Mike and Joey met on the first day of fourth grade when they were seated right next to each other. By the second day, they were moved to opposite sides of the classroom. They’ve been best friends ever since.
Groomsman
Mike and Joe met in sophomore year at the University of Minnesota, and were roommates senior year. They both love cheering on the Gophers and Loons on game days, and love seeing shows when their favorite bands come through!
Groomsman
Mike and Duncan met in elementary school and reconnected on the night of Joey’s wedding. They now regularly do game nights and recently took an absolutely surreal trip to Portland, Oregon. It lives up to its weird reputation!
Groomsman
Mike and Kuhnke met in freshman year at the University of Minnesota, and were roommates in Uptown when the happy couple met. They completed RAGBRAI (a bike race across Iowa) in 2021, and both believe that caffeine and cardio are absolutely essential.
Groomsman
Ben and Mike met sophomore year at the University of Minnesota, and were never roommates. Mike knows that Ben will always have sage advice, and will protect the integrity of Grandma's Chairs at all costs.
Usher
Mike met Jack when he started dating Mike’s sister, Megan, in college. Jack and Mike have shared many days on the golf course, and Mike doesn't think he's seen someone swing harder at a golf ball.
Usher
Mike and Nico met through Laurel and Janna’s friendship. Mike hasn’t had more fun berating the opposing soccer team with anyone else, but nobody does it like a Philly native. Also their constant competition on their shared NYT games leaderboard keeps things interesting.
Honorary Groomsman
Mike and Collin met in high school, and became good friends after they were both cut from the golf team. Mike still maintains that holding putting "tryouts" in the school library does not accurately represent actual golf skills. He is unfortunately unable to attend the wedding but will be there in spirit.
