Our wedding will take place in Kahuku, HI, on the east end of the North Shore of Oahu. The North Shore is a beautiful, beach-oriented, semi-rural side of the island. The Welcome Dinner will be held at the home of Edward (Jojo) & Therese Gagarin in Mililani (central Oahu). We recommend checking out Airbnb on the North Shore. There are calm and quiet beaches east of Kahuku and Lai’e, near the wedding venue. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Swimming & Safety: the North Shore has strong surf conditions during winter. Please observe lifeguard safety advisories and avoid dangerous conditions. For easy swimming, head east of Kahuku and Lāi'e Point, or the south shore. Driving distances: Honolulu Airport to Hale’iwa: 40 minutes Honolulu Airport to Kahuku: 1 hour Hale’iwa to Mililani: 25 minutes Kahuku to Mililani: 40 minutes Note: expect heavier traffic during rush hour and on weekends.
