Maid of Honor
Madalyn, or as I call her Brenda, has been my best friend since we met in college. We even lived in a shoe box size room in our sorority house and some how our friendship came out stronger than ever. Madalyn is a loyal friend is always some one who I call on a bad day and can show me the bright side. She is the friend that may lose her keys, id, purse, etc. and somehow drive me crazy but hey we're still standing. She has been more like a sister than a best friend since we met and even our families have become close bonding over our love all things Alabama — Roll tide!
Maid of Honor
CM has been my best friend since high school. We met in Aquatic Science class where I’m pretty sure neither of us learned anything.. haha. Even though we went to difference colleges we still kept close to each other throughout the years. She is like my soul sister and when I moved back to Houston it was like we never skipped a beat. CM was always the friend who I could go to with my spontaneous ideas and be down for it. She is always someone you want in your corner.
Matron of Honor
My sister Michelle is actually the person who introduced me to Michael. Little did she know on that trip to Hawaii she would be introducing me to my husband. Michelle is also in the Navy and has been serving for 9 years. She's been lucky because most of her Naval career has been in San Diego. She's very much a free spirit and that is something I've always admired about her. We lived together when I moved to San Diego and look we still love each other. Even after living in a tiny house with 2 pugs, 2 sisters, somehow Michael came out alive.
Best Man
Rob has been my best friend since our freshman year in high school. We circled around each other during the first half of that year and it wasn't until we both decided to join the track and field team did we become friends. During our time at Von Steuben, I couldn't ask for a better man to call my brother. Rob has always been the one friend you could count on no matter what. A great teammate that pushed me to perform at a high level on the track but an even better friend whose help me grow into a better person. He is kind, intelligent, hilarious and a joy to be around. Life has kept us apart for some time but, when the moment came for me to pick a best man for Hilary and I's wedding, there was no hesitation in wanting Rob to be the man right next to me at the altar.
Groomsman
The first time I met Lopez I can remember asking him what he could do to help me on the ship. He appeared to be a bit overwhelmed and not sure what he got himself into being my coworker. We both went into our 2016 deployment not sure what to expect and before we knew it we were thrown into the lion's den and left to run a shop together. From that time until I left USS Decatur, we became a dynamic duo that can only be compared to Jordan and Pippen. Being Lopez's co-worker has been challenging, stressful, fulfilling, and full of laughter. Beyond all the ups and downs we faced on the ship, I had the pleasure of growing close to a great guy. A great sense of humor, smart, and bit delusional. Lopez has been more than a good friend and working beside him is something I miss dearly.
Groomsman
Krebs and I crossed paths in Great Lakes one early morning on the smoke deck. Who knew we both go to the same ship as technicians and work closely together for five years. I have always seen Krebs as a little brother though I lost count of how many time he's been there for me. Krebs was the extrovert that refused to let me wallow by myself in my apartment for too long. And I'm thankful because we've shared some great times together. One of the funniest people I've ever met with a big heart and great spirit, Kreb's personality stand out among the rest and leaves an impression most never forget. I'm happy to say I have the pleasure to call him a great friend.
