For those of you that know our story & how we met, I think you can agree that we really never thought this day would come. Here we are 10 years later, & we're absolutely thrilled that it is! For those that don't know, Michael & I met through mutual family friends on the beach in Aruba in December of 2013 (thank you Florio's!). The funny thing is, Michael spent the first 3 years going to Aruba re-introducing himself to me, as he didn't remember meeting me each year. Clearly, I wasn't cool enough at that time for Michael to pay attention to me, let alone actually remember that we already met multiple times. Going to Aruba for Christmas and New Years became a yearly tradition for both of our families, as well as all of our other family friends, and we finally began to get closer as friends. 2017 came around, I was a freshman at QU and Michael was graduating from Springfield that year. Our annual Aruba trip rolled around, and I tried to prove to Michael on that trip that I could keep up with the older kids (going shot for shot with Mike & his college roommate Todd on New Year's Eve was not one of my proudest moments) and that's when we really grew closer as friends. We spent that year in Aruba, as well as at home, getting closer and the Riccio’s & Barbuto’s quickly became close family friends. New Year's Eve 2018 - with the help of some friends and our families, something finally clicked for us and we realized we had something special. We started dating that year in Aruba and we have been pretty much inseparable from that moment on. Fast forward 4 years later, January 6th 2022, Michael got down on one knee on the same beach we met and asked me to spend forever with him! Our story had come full circle and it was even more perfect than the proposal I had hoped and prayed for since I was a little girl. October 7th, 2023 I get to marry my best friend, the one guy I have prayed for my entire life, in front of our closest friends and family and we hope you all are just as excited as we are!
