One of Halie and Michael's first dates was to Navy Pier in August 2017.

Halie and Michael met in the summer of 2017, so they spent 3 years of college and grad school dating long distance.

Long distance wasn't so bad because Michael would visit Halie in Nashville every fall and spring!

One spring break during college when Michael was visiting Halie at Vanderbilt, they spent the week in Gatlinburg, TN, hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains.

When Halie would visit Michael in Michigan during her fall break, they'd spend the long weekend in Glen Arbor, MI.

Climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Glen Arbor, MI has been an annual tradition for Halie and Michael since 2017.

Happy 1 year anniversary! (July 5, 2018)

Michael and Halie happened to stumble upon Dermot Kennedy for the first time at Lollapalooza in 2018 and have loved his music ever since! You may even hear a song or two of his at the wedding!

Michael played hockey since he was in first grade through high school and is a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan, so of course he had to bring Halie to a game (2018).

Every summer since they've been together, Michael has come to South Haven, MI with Halie's family.

Junie also loves their trips to MI, especially the pontoon boat!

At least one Cubs game is obligatory every year. (Dan wouldn't approve of Halie being with anyone who's not a Cubs fan.)

Michael was one of Halie's biggest supporters at her undergraduate graduation from Vanderbilt University in 2019!

Halie asked for a puppy for her college graduation gift, so in May 2019 they went to meet their future pug, Junie!

To celebrate Halie's graduation from Vanderbilt and Michael's 21st birthday, Halie's parents took them to Las Vegas!

Happy 2 year anniversary! (July 5, 2019)

Halie's graduate school graduation from Vanderbilt in 2020 was virtual due to COVID, but Michael was still there to celebrate!

One of Halie and Michael's favorite trips was to Zion National Park in July 2022. This is them at the top of Angel's Landing - one of the most dangerous hikes in America!

One of the coolest hikes Halie and Michael did in Zion National Park was through the Narrows, where the water was up to their chests at points.

While on their trip to Zion National Park, Halie and Michael went to Antelope Canyon in AZ.

Another favorite experience was seeing the Grand Canyon!

One of Halie and Michael's favorite concerts together was seeing Dermot Kennedy at the FirstBank Ampitheater in Franklin, TN.

Michael and Halie moved in together and bought their first house in Mundelein, IL in June 2022. They've been loving renovating their home to make everything their own.

Merry Christmas!

Halie and Michael both love animals and to exercise, so another favorite date was goat yoga!

Another favorite getaway of Halie's and Michael's was to Mackinac Island, MI (July 2024.)

Michael pulled off a surprise proposal on October 19, 2024 at the Chicago Botanic Garden after over 7 years of dating!

Finally engaged!

Not only did Michael pull off an amazing surprise proposal, but he picked the perfect engagement ring for Halie.

Halie and Michael's families helped them celebrate with an engagement party at their favorite restaurant, Ristorante Bottaio in Libertyville, IL (December 2024.)
