We wish there was a fun story about how we met. Unfortunately, we met at school; we like to think there was at least one good thing that came out of medical school! It really started when Mike stretched the truth by telling Danielle that he was "proficient" in bio statistics and could tutor Danielle. Well, he could not. But, he tried his best and won her over (and we both passed)! From studying to hiking to movie nights and even the occasional party- we did it all together. We even got a dog! We became best friends and a perfect match. The rest is history.
Mike proposed to Danielle in her “happy place”- the family lake house, where some of her favorite memories lie. He put together a photo album of a bunch of pictures of the two of us together going all the way back to our first date. He managed to catch her off guard by calling it a late birthday gift…. somehow she believed him. They sat together by the lakefront on the bench swing as Danielle flipped through the pages, reminiscing on all the things we’ve done together so far. Then, she flipped to the last page, where she found a note and a picture of her ring. As she started smiling and crying, he knelt on one knee and asked her to marry me. Spoiler alert- She said yes!!! We spent the rest of the night celebrating with family by taking a million and a half pictures, talking about colors for a wedding (this was news to Mike), eating, drinking, and just being together.
