Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Michael Pham and Christine Lew
North Cascades is 2 hours away from Bellingham. Vancouver is 1 hour away from Bellingham. Seattle is 2.5 hours away from Bellingham. Vancouver and Seattle can offer some additional big city things that Bellingham might not be able to provide. However, there is no shortage of outdoor activities and local things to do in Bellingham.

Hiking

There are many trails and hikes around Bellingham and the neighboring areas. This area is really known for its beautiful nature, so we highly recommend taking some time to go explore the wilderness!

Mountain Biking

Bellingham is a mountain biking mecca! People come from all over the world to mountain bike here, so if you are into that here's a place that rents bikes and does tours.

Kayaking & Sailing

There are several lakes as well as the coast for plenty of water activities. In the summertime, you might be able to see Bioluminescence at night (plankton that emit light) which is like nothing else you might experience. There's also lots of kayaking and sailing in the daytime.

Bird Watching

There are lots of birds up here. See them.

Fairhaven

In general, Bellingham is a really nice place to walk around. Fairhaven is kind of like an old town area with restaurants and fun little shops. Downtown Bellingham also has a lot of similar shops and restaurants, but with less of a view.

Local Breweries

We don't actively drink but there's a big brewery scene here. The outdoor spaces are nice and depending on the timing there can be local events going on. In Bellingham and Whatcom County there's almost 20 craft breweries.
