Any official wedding events will either be downtown or will have pre-arranged transit from downtown As for exploring: - all buses are FREE! The main bus station is downtown, and the schedules are easily found online (and googlemaps has them in real time). - car rentals are also an option. parking downtown is a bit tricky / can be expensive, so check in with your hotel regarding parking. - uber/ lyft are always available. Plus, if you're into walking, many things can be reached on foot, including lots of great restaurants, bars, and even Chelsea's climbing gym! - if anything comes up while you're here, just reach out :)
It is most important to us that you are comfortable! We are asking that everyone spiffy up a bit (ie, no t-shirts), but feel free to go as fancy as you'd like. The ceremony and much of the reception will be outside, so please wear shoes that can handle grass and check the weather closer to for appropriate layers. It's the South, so having a rain coat / umbrella on hand might be a good idea, though we promise not to leave y'all outside in a deluge!
If you are not planning to camp, we recommend using the provided shuttles. Two buses will leave from Durham City Center Marriott at 4pm to bring you to the venue. One bus will run every hour starting from 8:45pm to bring you back to the Marriott.
