Make sure you have a valid passport! It can take several months to renew, so we recommend you don't leave this to the last minute.
Flight
Fly into Malaga or Madrid Airport
Option 1: Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) is the closest Airport to Marbella (40 min drive). There are direct flights to Malaga from select airports on United Airlines. Option 2: You can fly into Madrid Airport (MAD) and then either take the train (3 hours), or a flight (1 hour) to Malaga.

Taking the Train
The Madrid Train station is a 20 minute Taxi from the Madrid Airport. You should plan to arrive at the Train station at least 30 minutes prior to departure. - If taking the train from Madrid to Malaga, use Renfe.com (or the Renfe App) to book your train ticket from: - Madrid Train Station: 'Madrid Pta. Atocha - Almudena Grandes' - Malaga Train Station: ‘Malaga-María Zambrano' The Malaga Train Station is a 40-45 minute taxi/uber to Marbella.
