A personal favorite or the bride's- she loves the plants here!
There is a plane located here that my grandfather, Wesley H. Schmidt used to fly! Here is some information for anyone who wants to check it out. It is a Rockwell Commander. It is located at the intersection on the road to the commissary. He flew it at Maxwell AFB while he was a student at Air War College in the early 1960s. It wore USAF colors then (white and blue). WHS flew that plane (then designated a U-4A) on 12/13/1961, 1/3/1962, 6/3/1962 (from Maxwell AFB to Macdill AFB in Tampa) & 6/4/1962 (return to Maxwell).
