It depends on where you're coming from, but we suggest picking a major European city to fly into first before you get to Crete. Heraklion and Chania airports are accessible from many European cities.
We suggest flying into Crete by Thursday. This will give you a day to explore the island before our wedding on Saturday. You'll also be able to attend the welcome drinks event stress free! Arriving a day or two early will allow you time to acclimatise as well.
We highly recommend exploring Crete for as long as possible! The island is one of the best to visit due to its diverse and vibrant landscape, ancient ruins, cities, and breathtaking beaches. After exploring Crete, you can always take a ferry or short flight to another Greek island. We will be going to a few of them a couple days after the wedding. The most popular islands to visit are Santorini and Mykonos, but there are many other less touristy islands in the Cyclades that you can travel to.
Yes! We will be hosting a welcome event the night before the wedding. For the welcome event, there will be drinks and cocktails. More information on the exact location can be found under the schedule tab.
Yes, there will be a bus or shuttle that will take you to and from the venue. The bus or shuttle will pick you up from the Rethymno city center as well as the Caramel Grecotel Boutique Resort (for those staying in hotels a few kilometres to the east of the city) and will drop you off at Agreco Farms. There will also be transportation back to those two locations and other nearby hotels towards the end of the night. *Note: The Rethymno city center pickup is located outside the Municipal Garden where there is a bus station for local buses found opposite the parking area.
