High Altitude Care

The Wedding Website of Annalisa Vecchi and Michael Weber
So, you're coming to Colorado and the rumors are true. We are high. A mile high to be exact. If you are coming from the east coast, the west coast, or an island, this will present you with some unusual challenges.
Question

What is Altitude Sickness?

Answer

Don't Worry, it's Common. The symptoms can feel like a hangover – dizziness, headache, muscle aches, nausea. (or it might just be a hangover). All it means is that the atmosphere is not providing your body the oxygen it needs. We recommend staying extremely hydrated. After all, water Is 1 part Oxygen. We can not stress this enough kids. DRINK WATER not Beer. Or least more Water than beer, please. Or Coors light, which is how we Coloradans stay hydrated.

Question

Is the air really that dry?

Answer

Yes. It really is that dry. Very low humidity is a perennial constant in Colorado Springs and Denver. Your skin will feel this during your stay. Your lips will, too. Bring some lotion. A lot of it. And some chapstick too. Your skin will be as thirsty as you are.

Question

Is it cold in Colorado?

Answer

In November, the weather is very unpredictable. The historical average is 48 degrees, but last year it was 70 degrees. Make sure to check the forecast. Colorado is famous for its beautiful seasons. And it is not uncommon to experience them all in the same day. Especially at 6,200 feet above sea level.
