Her Side: Annalisa met Michael when he applied for a captain position at Mountain Aviation. Mike was offered a slot in Pilot Indoc class, and Annalisa was his instructor. They had met during his interview, and Anna apparently digs that tall dark and handsome vibe that Mike put off, so she was excited that he would be in her class. She developed a crush on Mike during indoc because he laughed at her stupid jokes and told her about the time he set Craig Airport on fire. They clearly have the same sense of humor. On the last day of class, Anna casually asked if he wanted to hang out and he turned her down! Over the next few months, he would drop by her office and pretend to have trouble with his iPad (This actually wasn’t an act. He’s really bad at the iPad) and sometimes he would bring burritos. Annalisa decided she wanted to win him over. So she stayed late after work to wait for him and Cory to return from a trip. She figured if she asked them both to kick it, it would seem less aggressive. Cory blatantly said no to the invite (Thanks Cory). But after months of playing hard to get, Mike finally broke down and joined her and Genevieve for a Happy Hour. Anna asked him on a date that evening and he finally said yes! (and then tried to cancel but Anna didn't know that is what was happening). Their first date was a typical love story; Girl invites herself to Boys house. Boy makes Girl beef and broccoli. Boy and Girl share horribly awkward goodnight kiss. Boy and Girl fall in love. Girl moves to Hawaii. Boy follows her there. The rest is only the beginning.

His Side: Michael showed up in Denver for an interview with the company’s Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and “The Intimidator”, a pretty woman in a business suit. Annalisa sat squarely across the conference table from Michael, and every time he’d answer a question she’d take notes then look back at him unimpressed. Michael finally got to talk to her after the interview to find that it was merely an act and she was actually very sweet and funny. They had a great conversation, and by the end of the day Michael had a job offer! Michael was interested, even called Ian to tell him about “this girl” that was going to be his instructor and how she’s a total fox. So Michael asked around about Annalisa’s situation to find out she was dating some cool drummer in a band, so naturally he stayed away...bad info, there was never a drummer. Thanks Naaman. After months of keeping it purely professional, Anna asked Michael out for some drinks with friends. After drinks, Michael got a text asking if we could do that again sometime but without other people. Michael said “how about tomorrow?”They’ve grown together ever since in unimaginable ways.
