FAQs

The Wedding Website of Michael Evans and Alexia Locklear
Question

What time will the ceremony begin?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 4:30pm sharp. Please plan to arrive to the venue as late as 4:15pm to enjoy a beverage and the company of our love ones prior to the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code for the occasion?

Answer

We would love for each of you to shine with us! We kindly request our guests to join in formal attire. Please dress in a suit in any color or an evening gown, a midi- or knee-length cocktail dress, or dressy separates that bring out your best.

Question

Is any part of the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Yes, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors on the lawn, followed by a reception in an open air pavilion. Evening temperatures may be quite crisp, so please bring a jacket for your time under the stars.

Question

What is the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

Nashville in late March can be unpredictable, with temperatures historically ranging from 42°F to 66°F. Since much of the celebration will be outdoors, we recommend incorporating layers into your outfit so you'll be comfortable no matter what the weather decides to do.

Question

Any special notes about attire?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors on a lawn with light gravel in the parking lot and gorgeous stone pathways throughout the venue. Please choose footwear with this in mind to ensure your comfort. Please bring an additional layer to bundle up if needed.

Question

May I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We would love to accommodate everyone who wants to come and celebrate our union. Unfortunately, due to space constraints at the venue, we can only accommodate those guests noted on the invitation.

Question

May I bring my children?

Answer

As much as we love children, we've planned an adults-only evening and request that you leave your children at home. Children who are part of the wedding party or specifically named on your invitation are welcome. If you have questions or unique circumstances, please reach out to us directly. We're happy to discuss.

Question

Will there be any other activities during the weekend of the wedding

Answer

Please review the Weekend Schedule tab for information on additional events surrounding our wedding weekend.

Question

What airport shall I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Nashville International Airport: BNA, which is about 14 miles from our venue, 7 miles from DRIFT Nashville (the hotel), 10-20 minutes to Downtown Nashville. Rental cars are available at the airport, and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also convenient options for getting to your hotel.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please review the Travel Page for details. Additionally, Nashville is filled with hotels and short term rentals so feel free to reserve accommodations that best fit your needs. We suggest staying North of downtown, as traffic on the southside of town can really hinder travel time estimates. We recommend staying in the Germantown, West End, Downtown, West Nashville, Midtown, East Nashville or Music Valley neighborhoods.

Question

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block at Drift hotel?

Answer

Please reach out to Michael or Alexia as we may be able to obtain additional rooms at the same discounted rate.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Parking at DRIFT for the Welcome Party will be validated for up to 3 hours. We will have a QR Code to scan and discount your parking. Parking at Cedarwood Events is ample and free. Parking for ROSIE-O's will be neighborhood street parking. Please be sure to not park in front of others' driveways and try to keep parking to the same side of the street as the house. For those staying at DRIFT for the weekend, please note that parking is $25/night. When booking for other hotels, be sure to look at the parking rates (as paid parking is very common in the city).

Question

Is ride sharing convenient in Nashville?

Answer

Yes, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are generally ample in Nashville and will service to/from our venue, Cedarwood Events.

Question

When do you need my RSVP?

Answer

We would love for you to share the news as soon as possible; March 1st at the very latest.
