Barton Springs Municipal Pool
Quintessential Austin! A natural spring pool located in Zilker Park that stays at 68 degrees year round (Alayna's favorite spot in Austin). Note: No food, drinks, or glass allowed at the pool; only water and water bottles!

Unique spots: The Little Darlin' (reminds Michael of his brother Ray; surprisingly good food!) Upscale Mexican: Nixta, Suerte Tex-Mex: Chuys, El Alma, Papasito's Desserts: San Gines (amazing churro's), Gelato Paradiso, Zeds Real Fruit Ice Cream, Note for out-of-towners: Try barbacoa and birria at a random taco truck
Lone Star Riverboat Cruises
Every night in the summer, almost a million Mexican free-tailed bats fly out from under the South Congress Bridge. We just went on a boat tour to watch the bats at sunset and had a blast! Highly recommend booking online or calling ahead. Capital Cruises is another company that does nightly bat boat tours.
