Paul and Michaela first met thanks to a classic setup: Paul was Michaela’s brother’s best friend. They spent years orbiting the same friend group before discovering their feelings for each other. What started as teenage puppy love somehow turned into the real deal, prom nights, and all. Over the next 13 and a half years (just four days shy of 14 by the time they say “I do”), Paul and Michaela grew up side by side. They traveled, laughed their way through life’s twists, and chose to build a home together before planning a wedding, proving they were in no rush, just in it for the long haul. When Paul proposed in front of all their family and friends, it felt less like a surprise and more like the natural next chapter.
