We went to Top Golf the first time I visited New Braunfels, TX. Mick was so nervous that her hands became sweaty. She fiercely swung at the golf ball but the club flew out of her hands and went further than the golf ball.
I met Michaela for the first time in a Walmart in Brownsville, TX. I was visiting my brother who had just moved 2000 miles away from home. She was running around and I spoke with her for about 5 seconds. If you told me during that moment I was talking to my future wife I would have said you are crazy! Isn't life such a beautiful thing?
I took Michaela salmon fishing in Pulaski NY last fall. I was concerned she was not going to enjoy it but I decided to plan it..because I love to fish. Let me tell you, we were on that water from sun up to sun down. Not because of me, because of her. Our last day there, it was cold and raining hard. I got out of the river and sat on a stump, I was ready to leave. I look up and Michaela had a poncho on and had spotted a school of fish coming up the river. She told me to get off my butt and come see. I knew right then and there I wanted to marry her.
I called Michaela one day before work a few weeks before Christmas. We were just chatting as we always do when she heard a knock on the door. She quickly went incognito and inspected the person on the other side of the door. She squinted her eye as she gazed through the peep hole and whispered to me on the phone. I asked, "So who is there?" She said she didn't know, but it was some guy in a red jumpsuit and he had a Christmas tree with him. The mystery man moved on from her door and our conversation continued. Before I let her go, I asked “Hey Mick what happened to that guy and why did he have a Christmas tree?” Her response: Oh that wasn't a Christmas tree, it was the wreath on the outside of my door.
