We are only expecting those named on the invitations to attend. VERY sadly we also can't allow your pets to come along as dates :(
We ask that you please don't use your phones/cameras during the ceremony at all. We'd love you to simply enjoy the moment with us, without distraction, and we have a lovely photographer to take the photos. After the ceremony feel free to take photos and please share them with us!
We are supplying all the alcohol ourselves, so the drinks are on us, but when they run out.. that's it! Spirit mixers will only be available from the evening onwards, but there will be plenty of champagne, beer/ale, wine and soft drinks during the day. Skål!
As discussed on the Venue/Dress Code page, please wear weather-appropriate clothing (bring an umbrella/raincoat if necessary) because the venue is woodlands/fields. However, we will have a gorgeous big marquee set up, so if its pouring rain we can be in there all day and, at a push, even have the ceremony in there.
Yes there is a huge field for parking so no chance of running out of parking space. See the 'Venue Info' page for an illustration of the layout of the venue.
Please don't contact us on the day, we will not be looking at our phones. See the 'Venue Info' page for details on how to find the venue (the entrance is easy to miss, there will be signs up to help you find it!!) The number for the venue manager is 07876701685. We will update this website nearer the time with phone number of a friend / family member who can be contacted on the day if its urgent.
No, we are having a buffet lunch that will have a variety of meat/fish/vegetarian dishes on offer. For dessert, there will be a choice of two puddings to choose from on the day. If you have let us know about dietary requirements we have tried to take those all into account when planning the meal, but we will reach out to discuss dietary restrictions individually if we are going to serve things that you can't have.
Yes! We have a pizza van coming to serve between 7-9pm, with a couple of delicious toppings to choose from. They can do gluten free bases and vegan cheese as well.
Absolutely! There will be lawn games for everyone to enjoy, and a couple of extra activities for the children to get involved with in the woods. There will also be some things to help entertain them at the table during the long period of sitting down for the main meal/speeches. However, we really don't mind if you need to get up with the children and take them out for a bit of fun and a break, please just feel relaxed to do whatever you need to!
Lots of our wedding is going to be fairly non-traditional! You might see a few little Danish traditions now and again - some singing, if everyone starts tapping their cutlery/glassware the bride and groom traditionally need to kiss, the word 'skål' means 'cheers'! There will be a few longer speeches (but don't expect 'best man' or 'maid of honour' speeches because we have chosen not to have them), BUT we would welcome anyone who wants to make a quick toast (a sentence or two) to go for it on the day!
