We didn’t meet at the gym… not exactly. We were both going to CrossFit SoCo in Old Colorado City, but we never ended up in the same class. Still, we noticed each other the way you do in today’s world, through Instagram stories. We’d both tag the gym, and eventually, the algorithm (or maybe fate) brought us to each other’s profiles. A follow turned into a like. A like turned into a message. And soon after, Alan showed up to a 6 a.m. class TWICE just to ask me out on a date . . . Then he never came to a 6 a.m. class again.
