We met in college in 2017 and had a few classes together here and there, but we never really spent time together until 2019. In fall of 2019, we entered the teaching credential program at CSU Chico and had a large friend group of all the English credential students. We began spending a lot of time together within that friend group and began dating in December of 2019.

Two of Michaela's best friends live in San Diego, so a trip to SD was the perfect opportunity to visit some friends and enjoy a short vacation. On their last day of the vacation and with the secret help of Michaela's friend Christie, Andrew proposed at Kate Sessions Park.
