How We Met

Hoping for a Catholic Match

We met online through Catholic Match, not knowing we attended different Universities less than 10 minutes apart. We aligned on our Catholic values, goals for the future, and love of learning. Less than a week after we started talking, we went to Mass on our first date at St. John's in Indy, followed by a stroll through Christkindlmarkt, and pizza at Magoo's. We ended our evening at the Chapel on Marian University's campus, where Michael became Catholic. It wouldn't be too long before that Chapel became a special place for the two of us.

The Proposal

A Very Special Place

After the most amazing Italian dinner at Convivio's, we went to the Chapel at Marian University, where Skyler thought we were going to pray a rosary like any ordinary date night. To her surprise, Michael got down on one knee and proposed! Of course she said YES! We feel blessed to share so many special moments in both our lives in one very special Chapel, which will always have a home in our hearts.
