Children may attend any event at our wedding! We're excited to see your entire family, and plan to have some kid-friendly activities available!
No! Please be sure to have a designated driver and plans to get safely to and from the venue. (We have an extra bedroom available at the venue, just in case. Please don't drink and drive!)
If your invitation says "and Guest", then yes! If not, we'd prefer it to be just you!
For the ceremony and reception, we're requesting "Garden Attire" otherwise known as dressy-casual. Sun dresses, floral patterns, comfortable slacks and collared shirts are all welcome (ties aren't necessary). The ceremony and reception are both outdoors (and it could rain), so please consider avoiding high heeled shoes and plan your wardrobe accordingly! Generally, we hope everyone will be comfortable while also looking a little nicer than normal!
No. We feel that your presence at our wedding is gift enough (especially since it's a "destination" wedding), but if you would like to bring a gift or contribute to our honeymoon/house purchasing fund, we would graciously accept! (Seriously, though, gifts are not necessary!)
We're aware that we're still in a pandemic. We strongly encourage everyone considering attending our wedding be fully vaccinated/boosted against COVID-19. The venue is entirely outdoors and there is plenty of space for social distancing. Because our families and friends include immunocompromised folks (including very small children), we ask that you not attend if you feel unwell. Thank you for your compassion and willingness to help us keep others safe!
Yes! If you end up driving to Topton, there is parking all along the outside of the venue on Wayah Road. We'll have started a line of cars to show where vehicles can/should be left! (The venue website says we'll have enough space for 50 vehicles, which will be MORE than enough!)
The short answer is: not really. The Internet is VERY spotty at the venue, but you should still have phone reception/be able to make calls. But don't plan on posting pics to insta right away or being able to listen to Spotify the whole night! We're hoping to have enough good company and fun activities to keep all of us occupied without devices! (Also consider printing/writing out driving directions for yourself ahead of time, just to be safe. #KickingIt1998 #MapQuest
