Mountain biking on an open mountain trail is a feeling a freedom, a feeling of exhilaration, a feeling that taps into travel at its core: Sometimes you just need to be on the move! Take control of your wanderlust and spend your days climbing, cruising or just meandering throughout the 450+ miles of public trails available in Park City's mountains. For expert downhill, we recommend Deer Valley Resort. For intermediate bikers looking for a short day of biking with some uphill work and downhill cruising, we recommend the Canyons Resort, where you can either bike up Holly's from the base or take the gondola. For bikers of all levels looking for a short day trip, the most scenic downhill area and one of our favorites is the Sundance Mountain Resort—if you make the trip, stop at Judy's Donuts in Midway on the way to the resort and eat lunch outside at Sundance Deli.
Be sure to hit the Park City shops or simply stroll on the famous Historic Main Street! We’re talking fantastic dining (keep scrolling for our recommendations!) and shopping for handmade furniture, books, sportswear, unique art collectibles, and Western antiques. Looking for western apparel to strut at the welcome party? Look no further than Burns, Kemosabe, and Overland. For fantastic dining and ambience, head to Grappa, Shabu, and High West for dinner, or Harvest and Atticus Coffee for breakfast or lunch. For drinks, everyone loves No Name Saloon, High West Distillery, and the Spur. Looking for something more low-key, or the opportunity to dine al fresco with views and/or live music? Go no further than some of our favorite restaurants outside Main Street, including Blind Dog, Five 5eeds, Ritual Coffee, and Silver Star Cafe. For high-end dining with a view, we recommend the outdoor dining at the St Regis, Deer Valley, where you can take a funicular up the mountain.
There’s plenty to do and see when visiting Jordanelle State Park — from camping to hiking to wildlife watching; and having a beautiful, clear reservoir located within the park affords visitors even more outdoor recreation to enjoy. Park City may have the greatest snow on earth, but the town isn’t just for skiers. When the snow melts, all those steep ski runs turn into dusty single tracks for mountain bikers and trail runners. Plus, all that melted snow needs to go somewhere. By May, all that powder becomes some of the most beautiful and pristine rivers in the Wasatch Range.
Take in the absolute best views of Park City with a hot air balloon ride high above the town. Gaze out over Kamas Valley as you ascend thousands of feet into the sky with the Wasatch Mountains forming a rugged skyline to the west and the streets of Park City gradually getting smaller and smaller.
Take a tour of the High West Distillery of this famed local brand of whiskey located in Wanship, UT- about 30 min from downtown Park City
