With great hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities, there is plenty to do at Mammoth!
We have a group hike planned for Friday, July 15. Additional details are provided under "Schedule."
If you are looking for a challenging hike, look no further. The Dragon's Back Trail, starting from the Twin Lakes Campground and ending at the top of Mammoth Mountain, is a 3 mile hike with over 2,400 feet in elevation gain. We recommend you start this hike early in the morning and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and food. And always pack your 10 essentials!
Looking to soak in a natural hot spring while you're in Mammoth? Wild Willy's is the largest in the area and boasts a restroom (really it's a pit toilet) in the parking area. Please note that all of the natural hot springs in the area are clothing optional, and there is a chance you may run into a naturist if you decide to visit.
A must see when you're in the area. Sunrise and sunset is epic from this location.
Bodie, California is a town frozen in time, and preserved by California State Parks in a state of “arrested decay.” Bodie became a State Historic Park in 1962, and maintains the buildings just as they were found when the State took over the town – but they do not restore the buildings, instead choosing to simply preserve the buildings in their aged and weathered 1880s appearance.
Want to see Mammoth Mountain summit, but don't want to hike up? Take the scenic gondola and see the spot where Rusty proposed to Micha!
Best coffee in town!
Healthy choices with vegan options. The food is fantastic. We recommend sitting on the patio and enjoying that crisp mountain air.
Great organic grain bowls, soups, juices and açai bowls! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.
Wonderful, feel food, home kitchen. Open for breakfast and lunch from 9am-3pm and for dinner from 5pm-8pm.
Because, beer.
This is where we're getting married, but it's definitely a fun spot at any time!
