Carytown is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Richmond - we always stop here when visiting. Centered on West Cary Street, there are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Here are some of our favorites: * Can Can Brasserie - a French restaurant and staple in Richmond. Get the fries! * Mongrel - a fantastic gift shop with a selection of cards, paper goods, and other odds n' ends. * Bygones Vintage Clothing - a boutique with vintage (and vintage-inspired) clothing and accessories for all. This is one of Dan's favorites! * Byrd Theatre - built in 1928, this theater still shows movies today! * For the Love of Chocolate - for the love of your sweet tooth, this shop has a huge selection of candy! * Shelf Life Books - our favorite book store with new and used books.
This historic district is a great area to admire Richmond's architecture. The neighborhood is home to two parks - Libby Hill Park and Chimborazo Park - both with amazing views. While walking around, stop for a bite to eat at Proper Pie.
