Tickets: ~€1.70 (purchase at airport kiosks, tram stations, inside the tram, or at ticket machines). Step 2: Take the Train to Montevarchi-Terranuova - Board a train at Santa Maria Novella (SMN) bound for Montevarchi-Terranuova. House Or Rental
We rented a villa in Tuscany Italy. You are welcome to stay with us from April 27 - May 3 2025. Check in time is 4pm on April 27 th and check out is at 10 am on May 3rd. The villa is located in a winery, they can organize private wine tastings, dinners, breakfast, etc. There is also a pool! Please don’t feel like you have to stay at the Airbnb for the whole trip! If you would like to travel around throughout the trip we 100% support that and is one of the big reasons we decided to get married in Italy.
Flight
There are several airports you can fly into, but Florence is the most convenient option for reaching the villa. We recommend starting your search for plane tickets soon! Consider setting up a flight tracker on Hopper, which will notify you when it’s the best time to buy. For a more budget-friendly option, you might consider flying into Dublin or other major European cities, as they often have cheaper fares. From there, you can book a flight with Ryanair or EasyJet to Florence, where flights between European cities are typically quite affordable, like $20-$30 per ticket.
Travel Note
Things Not to Forget: Passport – Make sure it's up-to-date and in an easily accessible spot. Outlet Plug Adapter – Their outlets are different from ours! Either get a travel adapter or consider purchasing a simple European USB wall plug in if all you have is USB. Credit Card – Call your bank ahead of time to notify them about your travel plans to avoid any holds on your card. Currency Exchange – If you want Euros, you can exchange dollars at the airport or use an ATM upon arrival for a better rate. Google Translate App – Load it onto your phone and download Italian offline before your trip. It’s a lifesaver, especially for reading menus or signs! International Driving Permit (if you plan to drive) – Your nearest AAA office can issue one in about 10 minutes, and membership isn’t required. You can also apply online—check the "FAQs" section for the link. Power Bank – Service can be spotty, so your phone will likely drain faster while roaming. Bring a power bank to keep your devices charged on the go.
