Where should I stay?

Answer

We encourage everyone to stay in Big Sur, and we recommend staying at Big Sur Lodge using our discounted room rate. Check the “Travel” page on our site for more recommendations and detailed info!

When do I need to book my room by?

Answer

September is a popular time in Big Sur, so we recommend booking early. Deadlines below: -Big Sur Lodge: Book by 7/15/25, ~6 weeks prior to the wedding. -All other Big Sur accommodations: As soon as possible, as we do not have reserved rooms.

What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Garden formal attire! Women: Midi and maxi dresses Men: Button-up shirts and tie (suit or sport coats are welcome, but optional). Loam Vista Gardens is a completely outdoor venue.

Is there cell phone service/WiFi?

Answer

There is very limited cell phone service in Big Sur. Please plan ahead! -There is WiFi at Loma Vista Gardens (wedding venue) -There is no WiFi in the rooms at Big Sur Lodge. There is WiFi at the conference center/pool area. -There is WiFi at Fernwood Resort & Tavern

What is the parking situation?

Answer

We have a shuttle service in Big Sur on Saturday for the wedding and after party. There is limited parking available at the wedding venue reserved for vendors and guests not staying in Big Sur.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

On average, September in Big Sur is usually 70-80° and sunny. The evenings are usually 60-65°. We are hoping for perfect weather! We'll keep you updated on the forecast when it's closer.

Is Highway 1 open?

Answer

There is currently a closure south of the wedding venue. Road construction will hopefully be completed by our wedding date. Is there food/grocery in Big Sur?

Answer

There is a restaurant and coffee bar/cafe on site at Big Sur Lodge. See their website for full hours and menus. There is also a gift shop and small general store on site at Big Sur Lodge with a limited selection of basic essential items, snacks, and drinks. There are a few other small general stores in Big Sur, but no large grocery store. There are several restaurants in Big Sur. Reach out to us if you'd like our recommendations!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers and space. We kindly request that only those listed on the invitation join us on our special day.
