Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at Race + Religious in New Orleans, LA. The address is 510 Race Street, New Orleans, LA 70130. The ceremony and reception will also both be outside, however there will be air conditioning inside if you need to cool off. The summer in New Orleans is hot, so please plan accordingly. Ladies, short sleeve or strapless dresses are advised. Gentlemen, wearing a suit jacket that can be taken off and/or a short sleeve button up is recommended.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is semi-formal, summer soiree attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Due to the cobblestone and brick, chunkier heels or flats are advised. Gentleman can wear a suit & tie (although ties are not necessary) or slacks and a jacket (no shorts please). Lighter, muted & pastel colors and florals are preferred, and this goes without saying, but please no white ;) No jeans, please!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accomodate the guests that are included on your invitation. If you received a plus one, they would appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones be put away and turned off/on silent during the ceremony. We have hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for our photographer to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise that we will share the ceremony photos as soon as we receive them!

Question

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by our specified deadline- May 23rd, you will be marked as "not attending". The reason for this being that we must provide accurate guest counts to all of our vendors within a timely manner. We hope that you understand and we will miss you celebrating with us!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive to the ceremony 30 minutes prior to it starting to ensure that you are able to sit where you wish.

Question

What if I am running late to the ceremony?

Answer

Our day is being coordinated on a strict schedule, this means that we cannot push back start times for anything due to people running late. If you happen to be running late, you will not be allowed into the ceremony. This avoids distractions for not only other guests, but also the bride and groom. After the ceremony, you will be welcomed in to celebrate during the reception.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you. We have waited a long time for this day so party accordingly! Note: we will have a signature cocktail during the second line (our cocktail "hour"), then we will switch to beer, wine, and a hard seltzer.

For all the days along the way
