We're getting married!

We met at a mutual friend's birthday party. I (Mia) had just gotten back from a trip and was excited to see my friends. Cameron was talking with one of our friends and I joined the conversation. After a couple of minutes he asked me if I knew Mia Espinoza, I was caught off guard and laughed. My response was "I am Mia Espinoza", I now know that he meant to ask me about one of my good friends (also named Mia...well Meah), but it made me laugh. About a month later, on Halloween, he asked me on a date. The rest is history.

For Memorial Day Weekend we decided to go on a trip to Victoria, B.C. I had been before and was dying to go back. We had heard over and over just how amazing Butchart Gardens are and decided that was one of our "must dos" on the trip. The morning we were going to the gardens we got coffee and made the drive out of the city. It was a beautiful (but HOT) day and the gardens were packed. We walked around for a bit and found a trail by a pond where no one else was. The two of us sat down on a bench next to the pond for a few minutes and Cameron announced he was going to tie his shoe and then we could move along. He got down on one knee and that's when he pulled out the ring box and asked "will you marry me?" I was in a state of shock, with teary eyes, I (of course) said yes. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in New Orleans!
