Island & Ferry Info
Getting to & from the Island
We suggest entering "Stouts Island Lodge" into your Maps as the location. 2799 27th St, Birchwood, WI 54817 The address will bring you to their free parking lot which adjoins a gravel path. Collect your things and follow the gravel path that will lead to their Shore House waiting area and dock. The ferry will pick you up on that dock. The Shore House has restrooms if needed while you wait.
The Ferry Hours
Stouts ferry leaves from the island to the parking lot dock every hour on the hour. Try to arrive at least a few minutes to the hour to be ready on the dock to load onto the boat where Stouts Island staff will greet you and handle your luggage to your cabin assignment. Enjoy the short 3-5 minute boat ride to the island! We will have extra ferries running closer to our events so do not worry if you won’t all fit on one boat!
Island Meal Accommodations
Because the Stouts Island staff will be using the kitchen to prepare the meals for our events, the lodge restaurant will be closed Wednesday and Thursday night. On Wednesday night, dinner will be served for our welcome party. On Thursday night, a plated dinner will be served for our wedding reception. If you’re staying on the island, breakfast will be included and served every morning. As for lunch, you may elect for a boxed lunch in your RSVP. If you’d prefer to make your own lunch instead, you may bring your own food to prep in your cabin kitchen. If you think you’ll need additional food or snacks throughout your time, please plan ahead by bringing your own since it will not be available for purchase apart from snacks on these two days.
Alcohol Policy
If you’d like to bring alcohol to enjoy in your cabin throughout the week, please make sure it is covered in your bags or coolers when traveling over or the lodge staff may ask you to put it back in your car. Stouts Island Lodge prohibits outside alcohol in their resort areas. There will be bars open throughout the entire weekend so please do not bring your own alcohol to our events or uncovered in main resort areas.
