We are inviting all of our nearest and dearest to stay with us on-site at Castello di Ristonchi for the duration of the wedding weekend! We’re excited to be able to subsidize the cost of housing and offer our guests a flat rate for the duration of your stay at Ristonchi. All events listed on the “Schedule” page are what we cover as part of your stay (plus a few surprises). The cost of a three-night all inclusive stay is $300 USD per person ($100 USD per night). Therefore, most guests will be asked to share common spaces with friends/family. We have a master list of all available rooms and as families RSVP, we will be assigning apartments. Castello di Ristonchi consists of 30 apartments from studios to 2-bedrooms. Each apartment has its own private bathroom and kitchen. Some apartments in the tower have lots of stairs but the best views. We look forward to acting as a middleman and working with each of you to be sure that you are fully accommodated during your stay. You of course have the option to find your own accommodations and attend the weekend’s events as you see fit, but we highly recommend staying with us, on site. It’ll be fun and unique and the best way to make the most out of the weekend!
Ristonchi Castle is a rustic, 1,000-year-old medieval castle surrounded by olive groves and a forest of chestnut trees. It's not a regular hotel - it's a CASTLE! There won't be daily cleanings, but all of the basics will be provided for you, such as clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. The furnishings are typical Tuscan style, and some of the bathrooms are small and quirky, but that's the fun of staying in an old castle. When you wake up you know you are in Tuscany! There is heating in winter, but no air conditioning in summer. The thick stone walls and fresh mountain breeze should keep you comfortable, or there is a fresh mountain spring water pool that will definitely do the trick! There are limited paid laundry services as well as a steamer service for your wedding attire. While all meals are included in the cost of your stay, there is a bar and small shop where you can buy coffee, drinks, ice cream and snacks. The castle is secluded so please bring everything special (like medication) you'll need for the weekend with you.

We completely understand that an international wedding is a big ask, and we do not want anyone to stress over attendance. Because there are limited accommodations in the Castello, we’re requesting that you send your regrets as soon as possible so that we can have as accurate a head count and room assignments as possible for the planning process.
Unfortunately, you are not able to stay at the castle once the wedding is over, however, there are other villas within a few minutes' drive if you wish to stay in Tuscany. If you'd like to vacation past the 3-day wedding, the castle is conveniently located by train to major cities as well as Florence airport with low-cost airlines that connect you across Europe. Mia and Anthony be flying into Florence the weekend before. Feel free to fly in early to enjoy Florence and we will meet you there!
We will be providing group shuttle transportation from Florence Airport on the afternoon of June 20th. For those who will already be in Florence, there is a 2 euro shuttle from Santa Maria Novella Train Station in central Florence to FLR. We will be reaching out via email at a later date with exact shuttle times, pickup location, and shuttle sign up once these details have been finalized. Shuttles will leave for Ristonchi as follows: -1:30 PM Bus 1, Group 1 (20 guests) -2:00PM Bus 2, Group 2 (20 guests) -3:00PM Bus 3, Group 3 (20 guests) It is about a 45 minute drive from FLR to the Castello. Likewise, on Monday June 23, Shuttles will be leaving Ristonchi at 8am and 11am to return guests to FLR Airport. Shuttle departure times will be as follows: -8:00 & 8:30AM First buses leave the castle (this group arrives to airport at 9:30 & 10AM) -11:00 & 11:30AM Final buses leave the castle Note: If you plan to arrive outside of our shuttle pick up window, you will have to consider alternative options. We do not recommend relying on ride share services such Uber or Lyft. While you may be able to secure one, they are very limited and arranging a taxi or car service may be preferable. Ristonchi asks that you arrive no earlier than 4pm on June 20th. If you prefer to rent a car and drive yourself to the castle, that is a great option as well. Please be aware that the castle is located on a country road in the Tuscan hillside. If you have driven in Italy before, you will be familiar with the narrowness of these country roads! Please plan accordingly. There is plenty of on site parking.
Castello di Ristonchi asks that you arrive no earlier than 2:30 pm on Friday, June 20th. Check out is at 11am on Monday, June 23rd. Later check outs unfortunately cannot be accommodated.
We love your kids, but since they cannot drink the wine, they will have to stay home! This will be a child-free weekend.
We’ll miss you, but of course! If you can only make it for the day-of, please just let Mia and Anthony know when you RSVP so that we can inform the venue. You will obviously not be charged for the cost of the castle accommodations.
You'll need clothing appropriate for the activities you'll be participating in (wedding, pool, hiking, wine drinking, etc). The wedding will be outside on grass and that may be something worth considering for shoe options. We are planning to have activities but please feel free to bring any books, card games, or shared fun activities that you'd like! The rooms will have bed linens, a towel per guest, hand soap, and shampoo packet(s). Please bring any additional toiletries you may want and a pool towel if you plan on swimming. Lastly, Ristonchi tap water is fresh spring water, so a refillable water bottle is a plus!
YES! The Castle's updated network delivers a speed of 30/3Mb. There is wifi in the common areas and outside as well as in the Castello/Tower apartments. The Fattoria and Borghetto apartments have very thick stone walls and do not reach the wifi.
June is one of the loveliest months in Tuscany. Expect temperatures to be in the seventies and eighties during the day, and slightly cooler at night. We will be in the mountains so there could be as much as a 10-20 degree difference between day and evening temps, so pack accordingly.
