We met at The Ohio State University in 2008 at our co-ed business fraternity when Matt was pledging Delta Sigma Pi. Mia first saw Matt when his interview picture was presented to the chapter while voting on the new pledge class. She thought he was SO cute, and made a comment about how she WAS going to date him. After some post-DSP meeting hang outs and flirtation, Mia went to Matt's house for the first time and met his cat Chino. Mia was in utter shock that her biggest crush owned a cat (she is most well known for being a crazy cat lady), which further solidified her interest in the "cool Chicago guy". Mia's prediction came true when we started dating our junior year, and we knew we had found something special. After graduating in 2010, Mia moved to NYC while Matt moved back to Chicago, and we decided to take some space from each other. Throughout the post-grad years, we had maintained mutual DSP friendships; which would lead to weekend run-ins, which would inevitably re-ignite the flames for each other (as corny as it sounds), but the timing was never right. Finally, in 2015, Matt & Mia were invited to the same wedding, decided to go as dates, and we've been together ever since- thanks Laura & Greg! Matt moved to be with Mia in San Francisco, and we embarked on a on a cross country road trip from Chicago to the West Coast in June 2016. We've since started our life together with our senior citizen cat Jezebelle, exploring all over our new home. At the end of 2018, after PASSING THE CFA, Mia finally knew Matt was husband material ;) and he proposed to her on the Point Reyes Seashore during a hike. Mia ecstatically said yes and the process of planning our wedding around Ohio State football game days has officially begun. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
