Edinburgh is the nearest large airport. Book early for the best prices possible. Delta and Jet Blue have direct flights from Boston to Edinburgh The earlier you book the better the prices. They have refundable fares available in case your plans change From Edinburgh airport you can easily get to the city centre by tram, bus or taxi
We recommend the train even if you want to rent a car later
Edinburgh Waverley to Inverness. www.scotrail.co.uk Single ticket = One Way Return = Round trip From Inverness train station it is a 20min taxi ride to the Venue. Taxis are right outside the station. (No Ubers in Inverness!) It is a 3.5hr car ride from Edinburgh to Inverness with many beautiful places to visit along the way. However driving is very different in that part of the world so we would not recommend this if you are new to driving in Scotland.
