Manuel's family had just gotten a new puppy named Luna and he decided to post a picture on Twitter that included the both of them. Maria was scrolling through Twitter one day and came across the photo because a mutual friend between them had "retweeted" it. Maria thought he was very cute and after a few days of following each other on Twitter, Maria built up the courage to message him. Manuel did end up responding and the feelings were mutual. A few days of talking went by and a date was planned; In N Out Burger and a movie called Ready Player One. They met for the first time on April 20th, 2018 and here we are today...getting married!!

We love going on picnics! We were driving around Yountville one day and came across a beautiful park tucked away in a residential area. We told each other that this would be our next picnic spot and ever since that day, the park was our go to spot. We were celebrating our 3 year anniversary and planned a picnic at our favorite spot. We packed up our towel, some snackies, and drinks. We planned to dress up very nice for this picnic, Manuel's idea, and I, Maria, still had no idea was about to happen. We set up our things and ate our lunch. When we were finished, Manuel said he had something for me. He pulled out a beautiful necklace and then a few moments later, a ring. A ring containing both of our birth stones and an engravement of our date and initials. Manuel then asked "Will you marry me?" and of course Maria said "Yes!" We arrived back at Manuel's parents home and celebrated with a bottle of champagne. Cheers to forever!
