Engine Room
Engine room is Patrick's favorite Mystic eatery and is located downtown. This cool old structure was once used as a machine shop, and true to its name, still sports an old engine in the bar area.
Red 36
Red 36, given its name as it straddles channel navigation markers of #35 and #37 in the Mystic River, this food spot offers as much to eat with your mouth as it does with your eyes. The restaurant is located right in the middle of the Seaport Marine, offering diners a bird's eye view of the many marina activities.
Tree house at Oyster Club
One of Mystic's most unique dining experiences, this establishment has quite literally created a treehouse with water views of the Mystic River. For those of you who are suckers of rooftop dining, this is a stop you will not want to miss. Expect to find some of the most refreshing and thoughtful plates and cocktails at Oyster Club's Treehouse.
Bank & Bridge Brewing
Bank and Bridge is Mystic's very own brewpub. Located on the busy thoroughfare that is Route 1, this brewery was not too long ago a very ornate bank. Today, you can expect to whet your whistle with some of the tastiest craft brews to the region as well as a smattering of yummy comfort foods.
Sift Bake Shop Mystic
Sift is a French focused bakery located in historic downtown Mystic, CT which features a wide variety of artisanal breads, breakfast pastries and sweet and savory delights. Featuring a full barista, you can enjoy the sweeter things in life seven days a week. We love their roof deck area!

Mystic Seaport
One of the biggest draws to the area (when Patrick and Mary are not tying the knot) is the world class Mystic Seaport. The seaport blends both entertainment and education as vistors stroll through the park hearing about the way life used to be in coastal areas. Adding to the fun are the fully costumed actors who portray various townspeople and detail out their day to day lives.
Saltwater Farm Vineyard
Coming in as the "runner up" in our search for a wedding venue, you will not be disappointed. What is actually a restored World War II-era airplane hanger, their gorgeous tasting room overlooks the very acres of the vineyard. Saltwater Farms has not only delicious wines but an amazing outdoor space for relaxing and soaking in some Vitamin D while you sip. Bring some beach chairs, a blanket, and a picnic and they will supply the wine!
The Velvet Mill
Built in 1888 as a velvet manufacturing plant, today, the large complex is made up of dozens of small proprietors and craftsmen. Some of our favorite stops within the mill include Woodfellas Pizza, Beer'd Brewing and Zest Bakery.
Mystic Aquarium
A staple of Mystic - Mystic Aquarium is home to thousands of species of marine mammals, fish, invertebrates and reptiles. Regardless of whether they have scales, fins or flippers, our animal ambassadors provide the essential connection to our ocean planet and its conservation (they even have Beluga Whales!).
Watch Hill
This hidden beach getaway, located in Rhode Island, is the beach of choice for our very own Dog of Honor. In addition to breathtaking views and sandy dunes, you can even walk by one of Taylor Swift's many homes. Her home is Watch Hill is located at 16 Bluff Ave, Westerly, RI 02891.
Argia Mystic Cruises
Embark on a Day-Sail on the last commercial sailing ship left in Mystic, CT! Explore the seafaring village of Mystic CT and the surrounding islands from the spacious wooden deck of the sailing ship, ARGIA, and relax as you sail by scenic coastlines and lighthouses. You can even bring your own beverages and picnic! (no hard liquor allowed).

Feeling lucky? Two of the regions top casinos are located just a short distance away from Mystic. Foxwoods is a 20 minute drive away while Mohegan Sun is a 25 minute drive. Both casinos provide exceptional nightlife experiences and 24/7 entertainment. Just remember to share some of your winnings with the newlyweds!
