We're getting married!

The origin of this modern-day love story started on September 21st, 2016, a seasonably warm day from the recollection of many historians. This date would also mark the start of a successful career in accounting for Mary and day one of regretting what he chose to study in college for Patrick. However, all was not lost for Patrick as this fateful date also included the meeting of his future wife. Accounts vary regarding the mutual interest from Mary, however despite this, Patrick was no less determined to change that. Mary’s initial perception of Patrick most likely included the adjectives of silly, immature, and obnoxious. As it turned out, she was spot on as these same traits are still observed today. However, through the advocacy of a mutual friend (shout out to Ana Conway!) and a few answered prayers from above, Patrick was finally able to entice Mary into a formal date in late December 2016. Fast forward, after several more dates Patrick’s charm could only be resisted for so long. According to Mary, “I just ran out of gas and decided to go along with it”. Due to the repercussions of an inter-company relationship, secrecy was the preferred method of choice when it came to making their dating known. The secrecy was kept so well that several months into the relationship, even Mary was asking what their status was. Although the date of their official relationship commencement is still up for debate, Patrick and Mary have more or less settled on January 21st, 2017. Through the proceeding years, Patrick and Mary have experienced many highs, and some lows, but their love for each other continued to grow with each step along the journey. Some of their fondest memories include their first solo trip to Chicago for a long weekend in May 2017, their first southern road trip to Tennessee for New Years Eve of 2018, their various escapades north of the border to Montreal (2018), Quebec City (2019) and Toronto (2022), the addition of a fury member to their family (2020), purchase of a home (2021) and so many, many more great moments. When looking back along their journey these past 7 years, all of these moments have led Patrick and Mary to a new date that will be added to their collection, September 30th, 2023.
