Playas Del Rosarito, Baja California

It is finally happening!!!

Come celebrate with us in Baja California, Mexico!

Please join us 4/1/2022 in Playas Del Rosarito! We found a BEAUTIFUL property overlooking the Pacific Ocean to celebrate with our families and YOU! With so much love and gratitude we have had two amazing ceremonies so far! The first in beautiful Dominican Republic on 12/4/2020. We danced the night away with new and old friends. We couldn't be more appreciative to Quimby for one of the most amazing and memorable nights EVER! Our second ceremony was in beautiful Bandon, Oregon on 4/1/2021. We decided to go celebrate and have a gorgeous private ceremony with our Moms. Due to Danielle's Mom's health she isn't able to travel. We wanted to bring the celebration to her. Overlooking the cliffs on the beach we shared our love. NOW.... let's make this the one for the record books. We have wanted to celebrate the bringing together of our families since the day Jimmy got down on one knee. Covid decided to cancel our plans but we wouldn't change a thing. We have finally found the PERFECT house and perfect location to celebrate the night away. To truly bring our 5 kids together as one family! We hope you can join us!

Our story

Jimmy and Danielle first met in February 1996 at the University of Redlands. They were the same major, were Greek, and had many similar friends. In fact, Danielle had gone on two Spring Break trips with all 3 of Jimmy’s roommates and a bunch of other friends to ”the river” and Havasu, only to have Jimmy show up, both trips, the day she left. They also lived in the Grove apartments at the same time, and to top it off, Danielle had signed up for the January 1997 interim trip to the Dominican Republic & Haiti that was partially planned by Jimmy’s family... but she didn't go! At a small school like Redlands, it seems almost impossible that they weren’t close friends, but it just wasn't their timing. Many years passed and life kept them apart until one fateful day. As facebook friends they shared their "happy birthdays”, “congratulations", etc when Danielle messaged Jimmy asking for advice about a trip to Florida. Jimmy had lived in Florida for years, and he was moving to Minnesota to be closer to his beautiful daughters. This simple message brought about a friendship neither of them could have expected. They shared stories, texted daily, and spent hours on the phone. Danielle worked in real estate, she eventually set him up with an amazing realtor in Minnesota, leading to more conversations and finding more in common. A year and a half of friendship went by with daily texts, Minnesota visitations, and definite flirting. It wasn't until a trip to Colorado in September 2017 that things changed. Without having to even talk about or "define" the relationship, they both KNEW there was something special between them. They allowed that to grow as they introduced their children and families to each other. In July 2019, Jimmy took a trip to Oregon to meet Danielle's parents. What a blessing that turned out to be because just 2 months later, Danielle lost her Dad suddenly. During that visit in July, Jimmy had asked Danielle’s father for her hand in marriage.

The proposal

Jimmy had been planning a beautiful proposal and surprise for Danielle for a year. Jimmy set to work customizing the most perfect ring. He had a custom band made with all 5 of their kids birthstones plus their set in a white gold band with 5 diamonds between each (to symbolize their 5 children). The beautiful day came just December 21, 2019 as Jimmy, Danielle, and all 5 of their kids made a trip to Redlands to show them the campus and meet the famous bulldog mascot, "Addie". Danielle was clueless to Jimmy's proposal, but all 5 kids were in on it. After Jimmy asked Danielle to marry him, she said YES, and all 5 kids ran in for a family hug.
