Things To Do

Gettysburg

Gettysburg

Gettysburg, PA 17325

There are so many things to do see in the heart of Gettysburg from museums, battlefields, ghost tours...https://gettysburgghosts.com/ Pennsylvania is also home to the Pennsylvania dutch known for their food and crafts - good stop for holiday gifts LoL Pennsylvania is big so Pittsburgh is about 3.5 hours west of Gettysburg while Philadelphia is about 3 hours East and closer to New Jersey.

Baltimore

Baltimore

Baltimore, MD

Baltimore is even closer if you want to see the Inner Harbor, Chesapeake Bay, or visit my favorite spot, The National Aquarium! Edgar Allan Poe is a celebrity here, along with a mountain of other authors and poets. The George Peabody Library, shown in the photo above, and the Walters Art Museum are only a few of the odes to Baltimore's love of books that you could check out.

Washington DC

Washington DC

Washington, DC

The East Coast is not the West Coast LoL There are plenty of other places to see while you're in town. Washington DC is less than 2 hours from Gettysburg. Visit the zoo, museums or the national monuments.

Virginia is for Lovers!

Virginia is for Lovers!

VA

Virginia is about 2 hours away and home to historical sites as well as the Luray Caverns and gorgeous Shenandoah National Park. The color of the fall leaves could still be visible here at the time of our wedding which could absolutely be worth the trek.

New York City

New York City

New York, NY

New York is less than 4 hours from Gettysburg, and you can book a charter bus trip for a quick day visit. It will be around the holidays, so Times Square may be worth checking out if you have the time!

New Jersey

New Jersey

NJ

New Jersey is just as far as NYC. Check out the zoo there, which is my Mom's personal favorite because they have hippos. You could also try your luck at winning back your travel expenses by visiting the boardwalk and casinos in Atlantic City.
