About the 2:30pm arrival time and 3pm ceremony gap...

We want everyone to have plenty of time to get settled in before the ceremony starts at 3pm so feel free to show up a bit earlier, we'll be there all day naturally LoL The ceremony site is located down a fairly short cobblestone pathway from the parking area. There will be a golf cart available for those who need assistance getting to the site from the parking lot.

About the 30-minute cocktail hour start gap...

I know, I know - it's weird. I'm sorry, but not sorry LoL I want everyone to have the opportunity to partake in cocktail hour without feeling rushed to get to it LoL The 30-minute gap is to allow guests plenty of time to get photos around the lake if they wish and walk from the site to the main lodge. This also gives guests who find it difficult to walk from the lakeside area to the main lodge ample time to catch a ride with the golf cart. We also want to allow you time to change shoes or outfits or whatever you may need since the reception and dinner will be indoors.

Can I bring a friend or my children?

We really wanted to keep our celebration intimate, but alas, I come from an Italian family LoL Half of our guests are family, and the other half are our chosen family, people who have played huge parts in our lives. Please RSVP only for the guests listed on your invitation so we can spend quality time with everyone. I promise there will be plenty of other guests you know in attendance! As far as children, please use us as an excuse for a date night LoL We know a lot of our guests have little ones, but we're being selfish that day and want you all to ourselves ; )

Alcohol!! More confusing than it needs to be...but that's why we'll have a DJ!

We want to "buy the first round" for our celebration : ) so cocktail hour will be on us. We also know that even with the 30-minute gap between the end of the ceremony & the start of cocktail hour, we will still be keeping people from enjoying a lot of the cocktail hour for dreaded photos! LoL The Lodges allow 4 hours of alcohol so the bar service will go like this: 4pm to 5pm - OPEN bar cocktail hour 5pm to 5:30pm - OPEN bar to get your dinner drinks 5:30pm to 6pm - CLOSED BAR to allow everyone a chance to find their chairs to be served for dinner 6pm to 6:30pm - OPEN bar 6:30pm to 8:30pm - "CASH" bar 8:30pm to 9pm - BAR CLOSED so everyone can start saying their goodbyes & making their Gettysburg bar hopping plans for Friday night LoL ***You don't have to memorize this LoL Our DJ will make announcements to let everyone know what's going on : )
