Barrel Theory Beer Company
One of the best breweries in the state just happens to be on the ground floor of our wedding venue. Funny how that happened. If you find yourself ready to head over to the venue early, we highly recommend stopping in for a flight before heading upstairs.
Dark Horse Bar & Eatery
Another spot in the same building as the wedding venue. Great food - a nice option for lunch or Friday night dinner.
St. Paul Farmers Market (Downtown)
This covered farmer's market is just a few blocks from the wedding venue and is open year round! Open 8am - 1pm Saturdays.
Como Park Zoo & Conservatory
The beautiful conservatory building and indoor gardens are open year round. There's also a zoo! Free, but reservations are required.
Minnesota Museum of American Art
The only art-specific museum in St. Paul, The M has an impressive and diverse collection of American artwork. Annie used to volunteer here.
Minnesota History Center
Soak in MN state history at the Historical Society's flagship museum, with consistently excellent permanent and rotating exhibits. Annie also used to volunteer here!
Saint Dinette
A great restaurant in the same neighborhood as the wedding venue and hotel. Brunch is delicious and they have one of the best burgers in town.
Revival St. Paul
We frequent the Minneapolis location of this upscale but unfussy fried chicken restaurant. The St. Paul location would be a great pit stop on your way to the brewery on Friday.
Spicy Feta
Right around the corner from the Friday night brewery. Delicious, quick, and casual. You can dine in or take straight to the brewery.
Mickey's Diner
For the Mighty Ducks fans out there...
Magers & Quinn Booksellers
You'll have to make your way over to Minneapolis for this one, but it's Annie's place of work and a damn good independent bookstore, as it happens. Mention you're in town for the wedding and you might get the VIP treatment.
Morrissey's Irish Pub
On a day that shall live in infamy, this is where Jon and Annie had their first "date." The food is quite tasty, especially the fish and chips. If you go into Minneapolis, swing by for lunch!
Lake Harriet/Bdé Umáŋ
Lake Harriet is the part of the Chain of Lakes that's closest to our house. If you'd like to work up a (moderate) sweat, walking the full loop around the lake path should take you a little under an hour and you can snoop on a lot of fancy-schmancy houses along the way.
