During our freshman year of college, we had seen each other around campus. In April of 2020, Zach bridged the gap between strangers and friends by asking me to model with him in a photoshoot for his family's business. Little did I know, by saying yes, I was changing my entire life. After hours of posing as a couple with him, looking into his eyes for the photos, and talking during the breaks, sparks were flying and I was over the moon. He was incredible inside and out. I was hoping he felt the same about me, and I learned very quickly that he did as we spent the entire summer together completely inseparable. It was truly the most enchanted summer of my life. I was looking at everyone and everything through a lens of love. I was braver and sillier and I loved people more. I was lighter inside. I knew he was the love of my lifetime. Thank God, he loved me too, a lot. We were and still are, absolutely smitten with each other. On September 26th, 2020 Zach asked me to be his girlfriend. In October of 2020, Zach told me that he knew he was going to marry me one day. For the next 5 years we continued to nurture our relationship, grow into adulthood, explore the world, and prepare for this long-awaited season as fiancés. On July 25th, 2025 in Paris, France, Zach asked me to marry him. He led me out into the most breathtaking aisle of trees directly in front of a Parisian palace. He told me he was going to take a photo of me but instead he reached into his pocket and got down on his knee. I couldn't believe this moment was finally here. I think the entire world around me stood still right then and there. This was a moment I had dreamt of for years. And it was better than I ever imagined. Jumping for joy, I said yes, obviously!! We continued to explore Europe for 10 days, brimming with love and excitement for the season we were now entering into. We are so grateful for God's divine plan for our lives that undoubtedly brought us together. We owe everything to Him. He is such a good, intentional Father. I love getting new understanding of God's covenant through Zach and I's covenant to each other. I can't wait to learn more about Jesus through my marriage with Zach. We have had our wedding date picked for years, much before we were ever engaged: September 26th. Our dating anniversary. It was the most beautiful day when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I remember thinking, “September is the best month to fall in love.” Even better, to be married! Our very special day. For years, we have looked forward to that day, celebrating and serving one another with surprises, dinners, love letters. Now, we get to carry on the tradition forever. In the year 2026, that day falls on a Saturday. We knew it was meant to be. September 26 forever and ever. See you then as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Mershon!
